Team info:

You'll be part of our Dovecot Cloud team with primary focus on developing and delivering Dovecot Pro software for Cloud based deployments. The team is also the main contributor of several Dovecot components such as object storage, cluster controller and Kubernetes. deliverables. We are a team of 7 members whose experience includes C and Python coding, operations, product delivery and product management.

 

Your new job:

  • You'll design, develop, and maintain Dovecot infrastructure with Ansible, Terraform, and Helm while contributing to our transition to a Kubernetes-native infrastructure.
  • You'll ensure Dovecot's software reliability, scalability, and performance in production.
  • You'll improve CI/CD pipelines and streamline deployments.
  • You'll monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, performing regular maintenance, updates, and incident response for production systems.
  • You'll collaborate with developers to enhance software reliability and system design while sharing knowledge and staying up to date with cloud-native technologies.
  • You'll participate in on-call rotation for production support.

  • System: Linux / Docker / Kubernetes
  • Deployment: Helm / Ansible / Terraform
  • CI: GitLab CI
  • Programming: Bash or Python
  • Specific to our product: Dovecot, Cassandra, Redis, Prometheus, Object Storage
 

Your background:

  • While experience is our primary consideration, a strong willingness to learn and high motivation can make a candidate stand out.
  • You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm deployment.
  • You are comfortable working with and administering Linux systems.
  • You are proficient in scripting to automate daily tasks. 
  • You have experience in writing Infrastructure as Code in a production environment.
  • You can effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing across all levels.
  • You are a team player and you love to share your knowledge and learn from others.
  • You would like to work in an environment without a formal hierarchy and are ready to take ownership for your work.
  • You are motivated and creative, with a passion for connecting the world through Open Source technology and promoting digital sovereignty.
