Team info:
You'll be part of our Legal team. Your direct colleagues are young and energetic in-house professionals who are well connected to the operational, administrative, technical and commercial functions in the company group. The team likes being in touch personally, e.g. in our Hamburg office, but we are well used to also facilitate that remotely in case you live elsewhere. In your role, you'll support our agile and innovative organization by managing its legal risk profile and facilitating amicable agreements with customers, partners, and suppliers. Your new job:
- You’ll draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, prospects, and suppliers, working closely with Sales and other teams.
- You’ll provide practical legal and regulatory guidance to support the growth of our business, products, and strategies, including our entry into the B2C sector.
- You’ll monitor legal and regulatory changes and maintain compliance, offer pragmatic advice, manage the external data protection office, and optimize our general terms and conditions.
- You’ll act as the go-to legal advisor, answering day-to-day questions and supporting operational needs.
- You’ll streamline processes through digital tools and smarter workflows while contributing to corporate governance and corporate housekeeping, labor law, and the Compliance Committee.
Your background:
- You are a fully qualified lawyer (German Second State Exam, or equivalent qualification suitable for Bar admission) and proficient in common professional software solutions.
- You have expertise in commercial IT law (private/public sector), including SaaS, license, development/project, and framework agreements, as well as eCommerce, consumer protection, privacy/data protection, telecom laws, and competition law.
- You bring general knowledge in and a basic understanding of corporate law, labor laws, IP law, and modern regulatory frameworks.
- You have a proven track record in international contract negotiations, managing complex transactions, and ensuring privacy/data protection compliance across business operations.
- Experience with public procurement/tendering procedures is a plus.
- You have an efficient strategy for keeping up with legal/regulatory requirements, filtering what is important to the company, and operationalizing it.
- You are familiar with digitalizing and automating legal processes (e.g., CLM software, Legal Tech solutions).
- You can effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing across all levels.
- You are a team player and able to bridge legal, technical, and business perspectives.
- You'd like to work in an environment without a formal hierarchy and are ready to take ownership for your work.
- You are proactive, self-organized, and have an independent way of working.
