Job info: 

Sales Operations refers to the unit, role, activities and processes within Open-Xchange’s sales organization that support, enable, and drive the OX Sales organization to sell better, faster, and more efficiently.
Through strategically implemented processes (e.g. lead management, forecasting, and performance analytics, sales reporting), software tools and engagement techniques, Sales Operations enables OX Sales reps to focus more on active selling activities in order to drive business results. 
More than anything else, Sales Operations brings “a system” to selling. At OX, SalesOps uses data to drive and support the company’s sales strategy; employs best practices to guide training; and leverages technology for business success.
Sales Operations is the function in the OX sales team that provides powerful data analysis and reporting which can provide critical insight on several key areas:

  • Sales process optimization to increase efficiency
  • Performance metrics, especially through the employment of defining KPIs to ensure success
  • Selection and implementation of software and other tools to increase the hit rate
  • Strategic inter-departmental processes which ultimately improve close rates
  • Sales cycle analyses to identify recurring challenges the Sales team faces

 

Your new job:

  • You will have the management responsibility for the Sales Operations team.
  • You will own the CRM from continual improvement of the implementation, through focused and role-appropriate user administration, to evangelizing usage in other departments and teams.
  • You will be responsible for the optimization and implementation of Sales processes and tools, knowledge base and other assets.
  • You will implement a reporting framework and KPIs/Metrics and provide suggestions for improvements, additions, and replacements of KPIs/Metrics in close cooperation with the OX Finance team (Controlling).
  • You will drive the accuracy and currency of pipeline information in the Sales team and generate data-driven insights and forecasts for revenue planning.
  • You will support the Controlling team with calculation, administration and management of commission sheets for the Sales team, while acting as the Sales team’s first point of contact for commission-related questions.
  • You will own responsibility for the Sales team’s pipeline maintenance and run monthly pipeline review calls.

 

Your background:

  • You already have a number of years of professional experience in the field of Sales Operations. 

  • You have experience in optimization of the Sales processes. 

  • You can communicate effectively in English (both written and spoken) across all levels.

  • You work independently (self-starter), while actively coaching and developing your team.

  • You are excited to improve efficiency and enjoy identifying areas of improvement.

  • You engage well across functionalities and have a strong ability to convince other parties of the best way forward – and why.
