Team info:
You will be part of our Legal team based out of Hamburg, Germany. Your direct colleagues are young and energetic in-house lawyers who are well connected to and highly valued by the operational, administrative, technical and commercial functions in the company group. The team prefers being in touch personally, but we are well used to also facilitate that remotely in case you live elsewhere. You will help an agile, growing and creative organization to manage its legal risk profile and agree on amicable contracts with customers, partners and suppliers.
Your new job:

You draft, review, adapt, and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, prospects and suppliers in close cooperation with our Sales organization and as part of the CFO organization.

You help the organization, its products and business models evolve by providing proactive guidance on legal and regulatory requirements and dependencies.

You help the company evaluate and pursue new strategies to enter into the B2C sector.

You monitor changes of relevant laws and provide pragmatic advice on implementation options.

You maintain and optimize the company’s general terms and conditions to represent a merchantable risk profile and to remain in line with the operational processes.

You manage and steer the external data protection office to maintain internal, regulatory and contractual compliance.

You are the generalist go-to Legal person for all the quick questions arising in a company.

You optimize processes in and around the department by means of digitalization and enhanced process design.

You further develop the corporate governance structure and you are part of the Compliance committee.
Your background:

You are a fully qualified lawyer under German law holding both state exams.

You are well proficient in commercial contract law, also on an international level and especially in English contract language.

You have a basic understanding and knowledge of data protection and privacy laws and regulations.

You effectively and proactively communicate in English and German, verbally and in writing, across all seniorities and functions. You have a track record of actively negotiating commercial agreements.

You are well organized, comfortable in complex environments, and open to work in a globally distributed organization.

You understand software and technology related business models, trends and the respective contractual terms.

You have an open and generalistic eye on regulatory and jurisdictional developments that may affect the company.

You are an efficient user of common software solutions (e.g. MS Office, Jira, Confluence, document automation, etc.), and are open to help digitalize processes by identifying and exploring potentials in existing solutions.
